What to Expect
What to expect during your visit to our veterinary clinic
New clients
Please provide any medical history of your pet, including any recent behavioural changes or other details you think will be important.
We offer
- Pet vaccinations
- Pet dental cleaning
- Spay and neuter surgeries
- Orthopedic treatments
- And other animal hospital procedures to support our patients’ long, happy, healthy lives
Check-ups
Since pets can’t vocalize how they feel, illness or disease may be present before you’re aware of symptoms. Early detection allows time to manage or correct a problem before irreversible damage occurs.
We recommend annual check-ups for your pet’s health and wellness. This includes a complete physical exam where our care team will assess your pet from head to tail (this can include teeth and gum cleaning if needed).
Late, no-show, cancellation, and surgery deposit policies
These policies help our team provide timely care to all pets and make the best use of available appointment time.
Late policy
To help us provide the best possible care to all our patients:
- Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow for check-in.
- If you arrive late, we may need to reschedule your appointment based on availability.
Cancellations and rescheduling
We require 24-hour notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
Cancellations within 24 hours:
If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, a non-refundable full exam fee will be charged. This charge is added at the time of cancellation and must be paid before services continue.
No-show appointments
If an appointment is missed without notice, a non-refundable no-show fee will be applied to the account.
This fee matches the cost of a regular exam and will need to be paid before any future services can be provided, including booking appointments or purchasing food.
Surgery deposits
To secure surgical bookings, a $100 deposit is required at the time of scheduling. This deposit is applied directly toward the procedure total.
If the surgery is missed without notice, the $100 will be charged to your account and not refunded.
Surgery check-in time
For surgeries, please arrive between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. and allow 20 minutes to go over sign-in paperwork.
Surgeries are checked in first thing in the morning. Pets do not come in at the time the procedure is “scheduled.”
Emergency vet care
We offer pet emergency vet services for cats and dogs in need of life-saving medical attention. Please note that emergency cases will be prioritized in the order of most to least medically urgent, but we will do our very best to accommodate your pet as soon as we are able.
Urgent pet care
Urgent care and other not-life-threatening (but still important) procedures can also be handled on short notice. Our clinic typically has emergency veterinary staff on call in case of dire situations.
